Never let an opportunity to buy more "stuff" get away
« on: July 25, 2018, 10:12:08 am »
Kim Crutchfield has been putting a LOT of work into getting a "tactical style"  22 RF match set up.  This match will begin this Fall and will entail shooting at ranges from 25 to 200 yards as I understand it.  This match can be shot with your trusty Ruger 10/22 if it can hit a 12" plate at 200 yards or you can use any other safe 22RF as I understand it.  This will not be a NRL ( https://rifleshooter.com/2018/05/nrl22-precision-rimfire-competitions/ ) match but pretty close in the format without the NRL affiliation.

We now have another chance to purchase a dedicated rifle and/or scope for this match.  Yes, I know I have some pretty awesome 22's both Ruger 10/22's as well as a Ruger Precision RF, other guns and scopes.  Being one to never let an opportunity to buy more "stuff" get away, I have been searching for what the shooters that have been competing in these matches are using.  Looks like the one thing most of us do not have is a "tactical" stuffed bag to support the rifle during some stages.

Here is what I found to help me spend my money getting "kitted up" for Kim's match.  http://nrl22.org/sports/nrl22-2018-nationals-gear-survey-results/

Questions concerning Kim's match should be referred to him.
